So an original film script is a ‘Spec’.
A television script based on someone else’s show is also a ‘Spec’.

If they’re both ‘Specs’, why the hell is an original television script just a ‘Pilot’?

They’re opposites by origin, but both are still considered ‘Specs.’
Anyone ever question that?
